Wissenschaftliche Evidenz für den Einfluss von Impfungen auf die Inzidenz von malignen Erkrankungen im Kindes- und Jugendalter
The public discussion on early childhood vaccinations is quite controversial. Some say early childhood vaccinations may have serious side effects including cancerous diseases, such as leukaemia. In our thesis we worked out a scientific approach to the question, “Are there connections between early childhood vaccinations and cancers?” For this purpose we searched “Pubmed” for every scientific publication on the issue by using the keywords “vaccination” and “cancer”, in order to determine the state of knowledge by investigating and summarizing the relevant publications. In our summary of the literature we come to the conclusion that early childhood vaccinations may even prevent development of cancers, as eight of eleven publications claim, whereas only three achieve significant statistical results. Four publications argue that haemophilus type b vaccination seems to be protective in connection with leukeamia. More research is needed to confirm these theories.
